Recognizing the need to strengthen the protection of consumers from unsafe food through provision of efficient collaborative activities such as food testing, timely inspection of food and food businesses, compliance check to the prescribed standards/requirements for food quality and safety and promotion/enforcement of labelling of packaged food, the Office of Consumer Protection, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Bhutan Agriculture and Food Regulatory Authority have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 13th May 2021.
