The Office of Consumer Protection, Ministry of Economic Affairs in collaboration with the Regional Office of Economic Affairs (ROEA) is pleased to publish the Market Price Information of 102 essential commodities collected from the six regions (Thimphu, Phuentsholing, Mongar, Trongsa, Gelephu and Samdrup Jongkhar). The 2021-2022 Q1 Market Price Information (MPI) is now available for public use on the OCP’s official web page.

These are indicative prices to monitor and keep track of price movement in the market and provide information to the consumers for informed purchase decision. It is also to serve as a price reference and a yardstick to compare and take appropriate actions in the event of price manipulation in the market by the business entities.

The office shall continue to collect, update and publish such market price information quarterly.
